Sometimes orphan kittens are so traumatized by the loss of their mother that they refuse to latch on to a nipple. They need as natural a setting as we can get them in so they will relax and start suckling. Other times, kittens nurse simply for the comfort, not because they are hungry. With no mom around, they often turn to suckling on their littermates body parts, which can actually cause fatal injuries. This surrogate mom will fit both bills. We would really like to have at least one – but even two would be better. Please contribute to our Foster Feeder fund so we can have these on hand for upcoming kitten season.
