Before the Surro-Kitty® became Wholeful Pet’s signature product, there was our Scoop-and-Bake Cookie Dough for Dogs.

Back in 2015, before fresh refrigerated pet food became mainstream, Wholeful Pet introduced ready-to-bake cookie doughs made specifically for dogs. At the time, the pet industry looked very different. Fresh pet food was still considered niche and refrigerated pet products were uncommon. Still, we believed dogs deserved the same joy, comfort, and fresh ingredients that families enjoy themselves.

Our original Scoop-and-Bake line featured fun bakery-inspired flavors packaged in pint-sized containers that made it easy for pet parents to scoop, bake, and share warm homemade treats with their dogs right from their own kitchens.

As demand grew, we later pivoted to a shape-and-bake version designed to improve shipping and handling while still delivering the fresh-baked experience customers loved.

In 2016, our focus shifted toward developing what would eventually become the Surro-Kitty®. Given the shipping logistics, cold-chain challenges, and the state of the pet market at the time, discontinuing the cookie dough was the right decision for our small company.

But the market has changed.

Today, pet parents are embracing fresh foods, premium ingredients, and meaningful experiences with their pets more than ever before. The world has caught up to the vision we had over a decade ago. And now, the Scoop-and-Bake Cookie Dough for Dogs is coming back — better than ever.

Our updated formulas and refreshed branding are designed to make fresh-baked dog treats easier, more convenient, and more fun for modern pet families. We cannot wait to reintroduce this product to a new generation of dog lovers.
